About Me

StrawberriesI am a graduate of The College for Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) and qualified Nutritional Therapist.

I am a full member of the Naturopathic Nutrition Association (NNA) so you can be confident that I follow the strict NNA Code of Professional Practice, have professional indemnity insurance for clinical practice and also meet the membership entry criteria.

Gail

I’m married and have 2 fantastic boys. My eldest son is sports mad and has played both rugby and rowed for his school (With Mum providing sports nutrition in the background!).

My youngest was diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorder at the age of 3. We are told that autism is lifelong developmental disability that affects how a person communicates with and relates to, other people; the reality is that autism can also cause underlying physical health issues; this is now becoming better recognised. My son’s behaviour, skills and health were all impacted by his autism and were remarkably improved by cleaning up his diet, changing what he ate and supplementing where he had deficiencies. Helping him was one of the main  drivers  for my enrolment at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM).

Prior to this, I spent my working life in the Financial Services sector (and I’m still there some of my week).  Much as I love it, working, running a nutrition business and being a parent is full on!  I try to balance things out by running, training and practising yoga and Pilates regularly. I couldn’t keep up without managing my diet and lifestyle.

What can you expect of me?

I am passionate about health and helping clients achieve their aims.  I work with both adults and children – because of my son, I have first-hand knowledge, understanding and experience of ASD and spectrum disorders. I like to work closely with my clients to support you and help you reach your health goals. One client described working with me as similar to having a Personal Trainer for Nutrition.

I understand that change isn’t always easy, everyone is different and the key is figuring out what works best for you. Sometimes making changes on your own can feel like trying to climb an impossible mountain, having a ‘coach’ alongside to help guide & support you through can make all the difference.
